3. Nutrition Pregnancy - Calcium

Ragi is what people in Asian, especially India, choose as their cereal. Just like oat, ragi also has a lot of health benefits for a pregnant mother as well as a new mom who want to do exclusive breastfeeding for her newborn baby.

In the south Ragi malt is very popular and is given to children, due to its calcium content. Adding ragi as part of your daily diet during pregnancy is a great way to begin the day.  It is an excellent source of protein and mineral. By consuming ragi as part her daily diet, a pregnant mother can rest assured that she is having enough protein and mineral for her health as well as the development of the fetus. It is also a rich source of Iron, Vitamin C, and calcium which are all very important for a pregnant woman.Pregnant women usually complain of constipation as the activity of the digestive system is usually slowed down during pregnancy. Ragi with its excellent source of fiber can help in regularising bowel movements.

This month we will be posting a recipe with Ragi as the main ingredient. don't forget to check our recipe section for Ragi Dosa
