MedhealthTV from India awarded for one of the World's best Health and Wellbeing product by World Summit Awards Featured

"MedHealth TV" was selected by the WSA Grand Jury 2018 as one of the 40 WORLD SUMMIT AWARD WINNERS 2018 in the category Health & Well-Being!

Over 400 submissions from over 100 UN member states were nominated in this year´s WSA contest, the competition was high and the selection process highly competitive. An international Jury, who met for the final round of evaluations last week in Accra, Ghana. The jurors did lots of research, engaged in passionate discussions and worked long evenings – all to select the 40 WSA winners 2018.

MedhealthTV reaches out to millions of women all over the World with simple, animated videos relating to pregnancy and newborn care in local languages so that everyone with a smartphone can understand.

World Summit Awards present a global spectrum of change making projects ranging from big data for tourism to organ 3D printing, from a job-platform focusing on female tech talent to empowering smallholder farms – no matter what the technology, it’s the unique content that makes this top 40 exceptional.

WSA 2018 once more presents a diameter of digital innovation from Chile to Bangladesh, from Rwanda to Lithuania. Ranging from Girlythings, a Pakistani Woman’s Empowerment App to Grasshoppers, a Sri Lankan e-commerce fulfillment service; from the Slovenian Feelif, using IoT to support the blind, to M-Shule a Kenyian AI based mobile learning platform to connect primary school students - the 40 winners from 26 countries, selected from 430 nominations from 182 participating countries, offer a perfect diameter of how of digital innovation solves challenges in the 21st century.

The WSA Winner’s 2018 list is manifold, offers many more jewels of innovation.

Focussing foremost on the content and the impact in their local communities, not only the technical finesse and design, WSA assembled international experts from all regions and fields to select the 40 winners. The final jury phase concluded in an on-site three days meeting in Accra, Ghana of 16 international high level experts, deciding in a democratic and transparent process on the most powerful and content rich solutions 2018.

Dr Padma Rammoorthy will be honoured with the World Summit Award. In front of UN representatives, ICT ministries and the private sector Dr Padma will receive the Award in the Health and Well-being category at the World Summit Awards Global Congress in Cascais.

The WSA winners 2018 will present their innovations and receive their awards at the WSA Global Congress in Cascais, Portugal (March 11-13, 2019). The agenda of the WSA Congress will be a compilation of interaction and inspiration, assembling workshops, business blind-dates and inspiring keynotes, bringing together the global and multi-stakeholder network of WSA.
